Welcome to Mr. Adame’s Music class. Music has always been a great joy in my life and I’m blessed with the opportunity to teach this to others. Music teaches us to express ourselves, to find our voice, and to appreciate diversities in those around us. We will learn these topics along with the many more interesting parts of music this year.

Physical Education Teacher / Coach

Hi! My name is Tyler Velez, and I am excited to be a Physical Education teacher at Manuel Jara Elementary. I am passionate about helping students develop healthy habits, build confidence, and discover ways to enjoy being active. My goal is to create a positive environment where every student can be successful while learning about fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy choices. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our four children, cooking, strength training, running, and watching basketball. I am proud to be part of the Manuel Jara family and look forward to helping our students grow stronger and healthier!

I am absolutely thrilled to join the Manuel Jara family! This year marks my 14th year in education and my 10th year serving as a librarian. I hold both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas Woman’s University. Outside of school, I am married and the proud parent of three children and grandparent to three wonderful grandkids. I can't wait to get to know everyone and share my love of reading with the community!
