Hello, I’m Mrs. Abreu and I will be starting my 10th year of teaching here at Manuel Jara. I graduated from North Side High School many years ago. I obtained my bachelor’s in bilingual education from Texas Woman’s University and my master’s degree from UTA in reading. I love spending time at church, with my family, and the outdoors.

My name is Matthew Cowles, and this is my eighth year teaching. As a teacher, I enjoy the experience of watching students’ curiosity grow as they engage in a continual process of learning. I believe that every student is capable of tremendous growth when given the opportunity and encouragement to succeed.
