Hello, I’m Mrs. Abreu and I will be starting my 10th year of teaching here at Manuel Jara. I graduated from North Side High School many years ago. I obtained my bachelor’s in bilingual education from Texas Woman’s University and my master’s degree from UTA in reading. I love spending time at church, with my family, and the outdoors.

Hi! This is my 14th year teaching at Manuel Jara! I am a proud jaguar, and my school is my second home. I absolutely love teaching 5th grade! This would be my 7th year teaching in 5th grade. Math is my passion, and I love how my students start loving math with me. I am so excited for the new school year!

My name is Matthew Cowles, and this is my eighth year teaching. As a teacher, I enjoy the experience of watching students’ curiosity grow as they engage in a continual process of learning.
